The Nicene Creed, New Catholic Wording, and What’s Really Important
First of all, I mean no disrespect to an an excellent article by Dr. Edward Sri. I’m just using it as a push off to complain about how we avoid important issues. There’s a lot of interesting points in Dr. … Continue reading
Book Teaser: The Council of Nicea and the Trinity
In all the studies of the Trinity that have been published since the printing press has been invented, is it really true that no one has noticed that the Nicene Creed calls the Father the one God and we don’t? Did they really never run across Tertullian’s explanation of the reason for that? Continue reading

What Are the Implications of an Old Earth for Christians?
I really love our God, and I believe he’s way stronger than our ideas. He can take care of us even while we enjoy searching out the truth. Those who seek find. He doesn’t give snakes to children who ask for eggs. Let us not be “ye of little faith,” but let us address him as Father and trust him as children. Continue reading

The Trinity, the Council of Nicea, and the Substance of God
In A.D. 325, Eusebius, the first church historian and the bishop (link opens in new window) of the church in Caesarea, wrote a letter. To me, it is one of the most surprisingly ignored letters in the history of the … Continue reading

The Councils, the Creeds, and the Salvation of Souls
I always say there’s nothing like reading error to motivate one to write truth. I’m prone to writing error here and there, too. I’m human. I have things I don’t understand. I have things I forget to consider. Teaching and … Continue reading

The Creed of Nicea
Okay, I’m posting this right away after my last blog, so you probably haven’t seen the previous one yet. If you have the time, make sure you read it, though this one can be read by itself, too. It’s not really … Continue reading
